Soldiers stationed in Eastern Russia have recently been issued with the directive “to start training to enforce order on civilians, establish medical tents, supply rations and iodine to the local population, in the event that the Russian Federation engages in a nuclear conflict with NATO and the United States.” Iodine potassium is used to reduce the potential of radiation sickness as the body will absorb radioactive iodine if there is an iodine deficiency after a nuclear explosion.
On the fifth of March, Israeli Prime Minister Neftali Bennet traveled secretly to Moscow for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting lasted for three hours and Bennet issued a notice for all Israelis to leave Russia immediately. An hour later, the US State department reissued a notice for all US citizens to also leave Russia.

The leaked content of a fiery anti-China speech and secretive briefing to elite military personnel by one of Australia’s top generals has landed on the front pages of major newspapers from Sydney to Melbourne to London on Tuesday. The confidential address issued by Major-General Adam Findlay, who was then commander of Australia’s special forces and currently advises the Australian Defense Force, had focused on a coming war with China which he said is a “high likelihood”. Publication of the speech’s full key controversial contents is now threatening to plunge China-Australia relations past breaking point.
The April 2020 briefing given to the country’s most elite special forces units was obtained and first published by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, and quickly spread to the front page of London’s The Times. The general’s words were leaked by anonymous sources. He had detailed that China is now engaged in “grey zone” covert operations against Australian and Western allied interests and that Aussie defense forces must prepare for the “high likelihood” of this turning into direct war.

Major-General Findlay was heard in the leaked briefing saying:
“Who do you reckon the main (regional) threat is?” General Findlay asked his troops and officers before answering: “China.”
He continued: “OK, so if China is a threat, how many special forces brigades in China? You should know there are 26,000 Chinese SOF (Special Operations Forces) personnel.”
The revelation comes at a moment of hardened and tense relations with Beijing on trade, diplomatic, and even military fronts, despite China long being Australia’s biggest single trading partner.
The Sydney Morning Herald summarized further of the leaked briefing’s contents as follows:
They say General Findlay told his troops that, if the threat of conflict was realised, the ADF needed to rely not only on traditional air, land and sea capabilities but also on Australia’s ability to use cyber and space warfare.
He also highlighted the need for the ADF to reassert its presence and play “first grade” in south-east Asia and the south-west Pacific, describing how the military had uncovered information showing China was seeking to exploit “our [Australia’s] absence” in the region.
“We need to make sure we don’t lose momentum… get back in the region,” General Findlay said, highlighting Australia’s close ties to Indonesia.
In words sure to add more fuel to the fire of Chinese officials’ outrage, Findlay was further described as saying China knew “Western democracies have peace, and then, when they cross a line, we get really angry.”
“Then we start bombing people. China said, let’s be smarter. Let’s just play below the threshold, before it goes to war,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted him as saying.

General Findlay said that to “stop war from breaking out” Australia’s military must compete against the “coercive constraints” imposed on Australia by China. In undertaking its own grey zone missions, Australia’s aim was to “put the adversary at a disadvantage, put us at an advantage” and avoid war.
He’s certainly not the first top Aussie official to strongly suggest that a near-future war is coming, but it’s being viewed as more serious given it was a classified briefing to special forces commanders, and thus can’t be chalked up to a politician expressing opinion or speculation, however provocative.
For example just the day before the leaked contents were exposed Tuesday, Senator Jim Molan wrote in an op-ed in The Australian newspaper that he believes a war is “likely”…
It wouldn’t start as a direct war between Australia and China, but would more likely be a war that Australia could find itself fighting on behalf of its most powerful ally, Senator Molan said.
“Many ordinary Australians, not just those who have personally experienced global conflict, are awakening to the sombre reality that war is not just possible in our region, but likely,” he wrote.
“Armed to the teeth, adversaries are maneuvering ships and planes around each other, intimidating and threatening, loaded with real weapons of war, forging alliances.”
He said Australia would be making a mistake if leaders do not act now to strengthen a military that is not capable of winning a war against “a peer opponent”.
Of course, the “most powerful ally” being referenced here is the United States, revealing the apparent increased anxiety in Canberra that the confrontational attitude between Washington and Beijing being played out even on the ground in places like the South China Sea will inevitably drag Australia into the mix.
There’s also the distinct possibility that all of this “drums of war” rhetoric of late coming out of Australian officials’ mouths and pens may be part of a coordinated effort at drastically increasing defense spending and psychologically preparing the public for a more confrontational bit of muscle-flexing with Beijing.
United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) has issued a Posture Review pointing out that an adversary may choose to use NUCLEAR WEAPONS first rather than wait until they are losing a war.

When USSTRATCOM puts out something like they just put out, its time to be paying attention.
For reader help, I have added a map showing the likely targets of a massive nuclear attack upon the United States. In the eyes of NATO, any enemy (including Russia) have no chance of winning a war.
It’s just how they see it.
Now, an enemy that is forced to fight NATO, or is willing to attack NATO unprovoked (reasons are irrelevant to the discussion) have a number of options, ranging from good to bad.
But the “good” or the “bad” is subjective, and depends on who is defining what is “good” and “bad.”
For instance, in this case, if Russia launches a surprise massive nuclear attack against U.S. silos, in order to destroy as many nukes as they can, from the point of view of Russia, this is a “good” option, militarily speaking.
In the eyes of U.S. Strategic Command, such an attack would be “bad” . . . for Russia…but the LEAST bad.
The U.S. Strategic Command assumes that Russia will not use nukes in the initial phase of the war, but rather AFTER the war starts, and Russia is losing.
This is the military doctrine of NATO, which assumes (totally wrong) that a nuclear war will start AFTER a conventional war that leads to conditions (read : losing) for one side to use nuclear strikes as a hail Mary.
So, in a sense, if Russia and Ukraine start a war, NATO gets involved (U.S. being the main actor), Russia will not be able to conventionally compete against NATO forces, so Russia might choose to use nukes.
Of course, the US whines and moans “If only Russia will play how U.S. Strategic Command wants…” Russia already KNOWS that if NATO gets involved with the Ukraine situation, they will lose a conventional war.
To assume that Russia will get bogged down in a war against a much superior force, and simply lose troops and assets UNTIL it’s clear that it is losing…THEN using nukes, is the epitome of stupidity.
The moment NATO gets involved in a serious manner (starts mobilizing tens of thousand of troops, hundreds of planes, dozens of ships, etc. etc.), Russia will NOT WAIT until those forces attack, see if they lose, and THEN use nukes.
No.
Russia will use nukes the moment the U.S. and NATO start mobilizing a number of forces and assets that will crush Russia.
U.S. Strategic Command seems unable to understand that Russia will use nukes BEFORE a Russia-NATO war even starts.
Or maybe they do understand, and what they say to us, the plebes, is to make us believe that they don’t.
A few days ago, Russia expelled ten American Diplomatic Personnel and “suggested” that Ambassador John Sullivan leave to, for “consultations” with the US Government.
The ten Diplomats departed Russia, but Sullivan LAST NIGHT issued a public statement saying he REFUSES to leave Russia despite their “suggestion.” It was publicly reported this way by AXIOS:
New: The U.S. ambassador to Russia is refusing to leave after the Kremlin “advised” him to return home following new Biden administration sanctions, two sources briefed on the situation tell Axios.
Here we are, eight hours later, the Associated Press is reporting “US Ambassador John Sullivan is returning to the US for consultations . . . but vows to return in a couple weeks.
Russia just showed him what’s what.
MILITARY STATUS
As of this morning, Ukraine has 110,000 troops massed on the borders of Luhansk, Donetsk (Collectively “The Donbas”). Russia has its 2nd and 3rd Armies massed on the other side of Luhansk and Donetsk, and partly inside Crimea. In addition, Ukraine has about 450 tanks, about 800 pieces of artillery also massed.
The US and NATO have about 40,000 troops in theater, but in countries nearby Ukraine, NOT in Ukraine itself. The US began shipping tanks, APC’s, fighter jets and ammunition last week. That US build-up continues to this minute.
Russia has about 200,000 military troops massed. This includes 1,300 tanks, 1,300 artillery, 380 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), 300 fighter jets / bombers, 3,700 drones, 280 helicopters, 26 ships (of which 8 are big amphibious ones), 4,000+ Armored Personnel Carriers (APC’s), along over 1,000 km of front.
TURNER ANALYSIS
The really funny thing is that Russia didn’t start moving ANY TROOPS into the area until Ukraine passed what’s ostensibly a written declaration of war, AND moved 98,000 troops up to the Donbass and Crimea regions.
The most they had done up to that point was deliver several tons of fuel and ammunition to the local defense forces in Luhanks and Donetsk so that they could at least fight back if Ukraine tried something.
What’s not being reported in any media except here, and not being mentioned by __any__ political representatives anywhere, is that Ukraine itself moved up a substantial percentage of it’s entire army and called up reservists which is what started this whole massing-of-troops.
Somehow that’s just lost in the conversation.
The 150k or so Russian troops scattered around the region are barely numerically superior to what Ukraine has moved to the front lines.
We’re seeing more news about additional units the Ukrainians are moving up, but for the most part the people in power have done a phenomenal job of keeping people from realizing that Ukraine is very much the aggressor and what we’re seeing from the Russians up until very recently is just the bare minimum you’d want to defensively respond with.
The Russians outright can not afford to lose Crimea, the Kerch strait bridge, their naval port, or the Nord Stream 2 pipeline between Russia and Germany. These things represent untold tens if not hundreds of billions of dollars of Russian capital outlay.
Russia is, in a very real way, protecting their investments, to say nothing of the ethnic Russians who Ukraine wants to genocide!
Should Russia lose the Crimea, it’s naval base, the bridge, and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, it would be an economic shock severe enough to unwind the entire Russian economy at this point.
This isn’t about national pride or imperialism for the Russians, it’s quite literally a fight for national survival.
As someone who has watched this conflict since it’s beginning during the Euromaidan stuff, I have gained a respect for Russian President Putin and the key players like General Shogui and Foreign Minister Lavrov who have shown restraint, humanitarian concern, and wisdom in their handling of this entire crisis.
The reality of what they have done and said so far is in extremely stark contrast to how they are portrayed in western media to a point that makes me feel quite sick.
It’s uncomfortable knowing that my nation is on the wrong side of all this, and that if my nation’s leaders get their way MILLIONS WILL SUFFER.
It’s sobering to realize that things have gone this far astray.
I sincerely hope that President Putin is even one tenth the leader I believe him to be because in a very real way his handling if this situation represents the only hope for millions not to be plunged into unending death and misery.
Of course, NATO conventional superiority is well documented, and many, many people rely on that assessment to think Russia would automatically lose any conventional war. Margarita Simonyan, the head of Russian Television went so far as to say
” . . . the West’s behavior on sanctions – led by America “like some kind of a raging Santa Claus on antidepressants or opiates” – acted as an incitement to the Kremlin to gain full control of the Russian-speaking Donbass in eastern Ukraine.”
They view us as a raging Santa Claus!
My assessment: That’s not far from the truth anymore!
So perhaps this won’t go nuclear . . . but I expect it will – and fast.
I have told my radio audience that I believe this war will erupt “on or before May 2.” I’ve said it repeatedly and publicly. Given the current deterioration in the situation, I would now not be surprised if this breaks out . . . within the next 72 hours.
I hope all of you have prepared as best you can with emergency food, water, medicines, a way to generate emergency electric, fuel for the generator and for your vehicles, portable radio with extra batteries, flashlights with extra batteries, fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
If this takes place, there will NOT be any help coming for you or your family. Everyone will literally be on their own.
The Russians have spent the past twenty years developing and building nuclear war bunkers for their population. In those bunkers are food, water, medicines, fuel, machine tools, vehicles. All the things they need to get-by and recover.

The American people are really going to regret putting the warmongers back in control. Joe Biden has been in the White House for less than two months, and the warmongers that Biden has surrounded himself with have been feverishly setting the stage for the next war in the Middle East. #1 Literally one day after Biden was inaugurated, a massive U.S. military convoy rolled into Syria…A large US military convoy entered northeastern Syria on Thursday, Syrian state news agency SANA reports, citing sources on the ground.According to the report, the convoy included some 40 trucks and armored vehicles and was backed from the air by helicopters.President Trump had tried very hard to disengage from the war in Syria, but Biden has made it crystal clear that the U.S. will be heavily involved in that conflict moving forward.
#2 Just a few weeks later, Joe Biden conducted his first airstrike against Iranian-backed forces inside Syria…The US has carried out an air strike targeting Iran-backed militias in Syria, in the first military action undertaken by the Biden administration.The Pentagon said the strike destroyed “multiple facilities” and was ordered in response to attacks against US and coalition personnel in Iraq.Militia officials said one person had been killed but a war monitor reported at least 22 fatalities.
#3 Of course it was inevitable that Iranian-backed forces would respond, and they retaliated by launching rockets at a military base in Iraq where U.S. forces are stationed. Just a couple days ago, new Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that there will be a U.S. military response “at a time and place of our own choosing”…Defense Sec. Lloyd Austin tells @MarthaRaddatz the U.S. is still assessing who carried out recent rocket attack on base in Iraq housing U.S. troops—and that if the U.S. decides to respond, it will be “at a time and place of our own choosing.”
#4 More U.S. airstrikes may come sooner rather than later. In fact, it is being reported that the U.S. has just sent six B-52 bombers to Diego Garcia…The U.S. Air Force is sending six B-52 Stratofortress bombers to Diego Garcia, a military hub that acts as a strategic location for operations in both the Middle East and the Pacific.Citing a U.S. official, CNN on Monday reported that the Cold War-era bomber will be “available for operations against Iran if ordered.”
#5 The Biden administration is also sending approximately 10,000 more U.S. troops to the Middle East…Once the amphibious assault ship Bataan, which is moving toward the Middle East, arrives, the U.S. will have added roughly 10,000 personnel to the area within the last week, according to The Wall Street Journal.
#6 Russia has been busy making moves in the region as well. On Friday, Russia conducted an air strike on an oil-loading facility in Syria that is used by opposition forces that are backed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the Biden administration…A suspected missile strike on an oil-loading facility used by Turkey-backed opposition forces in northern Syria sparked a massive blaze across a large area where oil tankers are normally parked, aerial and satellite images show.Syrian opposition groups and at least one war monitor blamed Russia for the strike Friday night near the towns of Jarablus and al-Bab, near the border with Turkey. In a report, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in Britain, said Russian warships in the Mediterranean had fired three missiles that struck primitive oil refineries and tanker trucks in the region.
#7 Meanwhile, Israel continues to hit strategically important targets inside Syria on a regular basis. The following comes from a news report that was published in late February…Syrian air defenses were activated in the capital Damascus and its southern suburbs Sunday night to repel an Israeli missile attack, state media reported. There was no word on casualties.State TV quoted an unnamed military official as saying that most of the Israeli missiles were shot down before reaching their targets near Damascus.
#8 Israel is particularly interested in keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons. In an interview with Fox News, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz just stated that Israel is ready to attack Iran without any U.S. help…The Israeli military is updating plans to strike Iranian nuclear sites and is prepared to act independently, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz told Fox News.Israel has identified numerous targets inside Iran that would hurt its ability to develop a nuclear bomb.“If the world stops them before, it’s very much good. But if not, we must stand independently and we must defend ourselves by ourselves,” Gantz said in his first sit-down interview with an American outlet.
#9 During a phone call last Thursday between Kamala Harris and Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister made it exceedingly clear that his nation is ready to do whatever it takes to prevent the Iranians from developing their own nukes…“The prime minister said we would continue to strengthen our intelligence and security cooperation and said during their conversation that as prime minister of Israel, he is totally committed to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons that are meant for our destruction.”Of course the Iranians have no plans to back down, and that makes a military conflict between Israel and Iran inevitable.There will be war in the Middle East, and the horror of that conflict will shock the entire planet.And once that war begins, it will greatly accelerate our economic problems and the ongoing political turmoil in this country. Last night, after thoughtful prayer concerning the end times, I embarked upon a dream in three parts. The first part involved my family travelling through the mountains in darkness, away from the coastline. I knew that something catastrophic had happened in the state’s capital city. The next morning, we met with strangers who were seeking for news about the event. The radio, internet, TV and phones were not working. All we could see was that China, in the headlines of the previous day’s newspaper, was not happy with the US and her allies. We left the meeting place, but were later stopped at a police and military checkpoint at the base of the mountain.
In the second part, my family met with my brother and his wife in a small regional town, far away from the capital city. I knew that his home had been destroyed and that they were uncertain of the whereabouts of their daughter, who had been studying to be a nurse in the capital city. Few people were driving cars (due to fuel shortage?) and we mainly travelled by foot. I joined the local men in training to form a militia, under the auspices of the local police and ex-military servicemen.
The third part of the dream showed to me the crowds of people who travelled from the destroyed city (or cities?) to live in a small regional town. Local residents had to share their home with these strangers and allow them to use their facilities. An Englishman, who lost his wife, left his young son in our short term care. Shortly afterwards, a stranger, a German man, threatened this boy. My wife and I chased him from the house. The message I received from this is that, during the coming catastrophe, we will need to protect the young, innocent and weak from the opportunistic and evil people in this world.

An editorial in the state-run Global Times newspaper accused the Trump administration of “seizing China by the throat”, saying the rising superpower is “prepared to engage in a long-term battle with the US”.
It comes after Donald Trump announced earlier this week that the US would work on a response to China’s planned national security legislation for Hong Kong.
“Since China is determined to push forward the national security legislation for Hong Kong, it has been prepared for any possible reaction from the US,” the editorial said.

Beijing warned the US would “suffer the most” if a financial trade war between the two countries were to grow.
“If a financial war spirals out of control, it is the US that will suffer the most. With its real economy shrinking, the US economy is largely relying on the financial sector, which means launching a financial war equals self-harm.
“The Chinese people are pragmatic and hardworking. We have constructed a comprehensive manufacturing system and built the technological ability to make breakthroughs. We also have a vast market. Hardly can such a country be isolated and contained.”

It went on to say China is ready for “battle” over the Hong Kong issue.
“The China-US ‘battle’ over Hong Kong is on. The US is free to play any cards in its hand. Hong Kong is under China’s sovereignty, and whatever act Washington passes is just wastepaper.
“Amid the long-term competition with the US, one of the most important tasks for China is to build up its internal vitality. We have sufficient means to resist external blows, while internal flexibility and vitality are sources of subsequent stamina. In the end, China is competing with itself.”

Over the weekend, thousands of demonstrators in Hong Kong took to the streets over a controversial new security law put forward by the Chinese government.
The law will allow Chinese national security agencies to deploy in the semi-autonomous territory for the first time, in line with the Chinese Communist Party’s aim to bring Hong Kong more under its control.
Earlier this week, the Trump administration warned that the US would likely impose sanctions on China if the law were to pass.
China has repeatedly threatened the US in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this week, China’s foreign minister, Wang Yi, warned that members of the Trump administration “are taking China-US relations hostage and pushing our two countries to the brink of a new cold war”.
“This dangerous attempt to turn back the will of history will undo the fruits of decades-long China-US co-operation, dampen America’s own development prospects, and put world stability and prosperity in jeopardy,” he said.
The debate over trade has intensified as the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic becomes more pronounced.
The US, which today surpassed 100,000 COVID-19 deaths, is trying to pin the blame on the Chinese Communist Party, while Beijing says the Trump administration is trying to keep it from becoming a global power.
